ANCHORAGE, Alaska, January 25, 2016 - MSI Communications, a full-service advertising and public relations firm is pleased to announce that it has received national certification from the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC). WBENC’s national standard of certification is a rigorous process, including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection, designed to confirm that the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman.
Laurie Fagnani has been the sole owner of MSI Communications since 1995. The agency provides public relations, campaign management, crisis communications, issue management, digital media (SEO/SEM), website design, and TV/radio and print advertising. Two members of MSI’s team are Google-certified digital strategists. Over two decades, Fagnani has built her agency into one of the state’s leaders in creative advertising and exceptional account services, representing both Alaska-owned companies and multinational corporations doing business in the state.
Fagnani is responsible for managing the growth strategies at the agency and for clients. She is and has always been actively involved in all client campaign efforts, including the now-famous write-in campaign to re-elect Senator Lisa Murkowski in 2010. Fagnani’s competitive nature and commitment to generating results for clients have secured MSI a spot on Alaska’s top women-owned business list. She has served on the Koniag Education Foundation board for 10 years and Visit Anchorage board for 11 years; she was inducted into the Athena Society and made Alaska Business Monthly’s “Who’s Who” In Alaska.
“This certification will allow us to serve the federal market within the state and help our company grow outside of Alaska,” says Fagnani. “This certification gives present and future clients yet another good reason to do business with us by helping them meet their supplier-diversity initiatives."
